Admission Policy

 

1. Purpose

 

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on requirements for Student admission and the processes to be followed.

 

2. Principles for admissions

 

Applicats will be selected for admission on merit.

 

Eligibility requirements for admission will be clearly expressed and punbicly available.

 

Ben and Richard Fet College has a commitment to social equity and to ensuring that students of potential from all backgrounds can be admitted. Therefore Ben and Richard Fet Coillege may provide alternative entry pathways for admission or mechanisms to facilitate access of applicants from selected target groups or to particular disciplines.

 

3. Legal Powers of the College

 

The admission policy at Ben and Richard Fet College is determined by the College Management in terms of the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Act. And as guided by QCTO Accreditation and Assessment Policy.

 

Ben and Richard Fet College may, subject to applicable policy, the approval of the College Management and Consultation with the academic board:-

 

  • Determine admission requirements in respect of particular continuing education and training qualificatuons or part-qualifications.
  • Determine the minimum requirements for re-admission to study at the private college in question.
  • Refuse the re-admission of a student who falls to satisfy the minimum requirements for re-admission.

 

Ben and Richard Fet College will take the necessary steps within its available resources to ensure that the College is accessible to disabled Students.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

Ben and Richard Fet College does not discriminate against potential students on the basis of racem gender or language.

 

PAYMENT OF FEES

 

Registration is subject to payment in full of all fees due, unless a bursary is provided or a special written on arrangement is entere into.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT, LEGAL UNDERTAKINGS

 

Admission is subject to the students binding themselves to the Code of Conduct of Ben and Richard Fet College nd agreeing to all terms of the student agreement. Additionally, if the students has not reached legal majority, all such undertakings shall be underwritten by the students legal guardian.

 

Any further indemnities of leagal protectionbs required by the College shall be furnished by the student, underwritten by the student's legal guardian if applicable.

 

 

Admission Procedure

To be eligible for selection to a program an applicant must meet both Ben and Richard Fet College's general entry requirements and the program entry requirements and apply via the approved admission process.

 

Meeting the eligibility requirements does not quarantee admission to a program.

Age Requirements

Ben and Richard Fet College minimum age requirement. 
 
An applicant must have reached the age of 18  years prior to 01 March in the year enrolment will commence to be eligible for admission to Ben and Richard Fet College. Only in exceptiipnal circumstances will candidates under the age of 18 prior to this date be considered.
